Te Wheke

The Health Model is Te Wheke

The culture it represents is Maori

The key features are Whanau - (Family)

I will apply the Te wheke model of health to my well-being at volleyball last weekend with my friends and family. At the weekend I went volleyball with my friends and family. This positively affected my Physical well-being and my social well-being because I was able to spend time with my family and friends. At volleyball, I was able to move my body around and also I was able to have fun with the people that I met there.

Maze Game and Flappy Bird Codes

In the Maze presentation, the blocks that I was using was (move forward, turn right, turn left and repeat blocks). For Flappy bird presentation was flap, end game, when hit ground, set speed when hitting an obstacle and score point.
The code and block for maze presentation enable me to move the angry bird around and made me get to the end of the maze. The code and block for Flappy bird Presentation enable me to make the bird fly through obstacles, score points, get more speed and hit obstacles to complete the task.
What I learnt from this exercise was that coding can help you with making your own game and also it helped me finished the Maze game and the flappy bird really easy.

Meeting the Client

Title - Meeting with Client
Labels - technology, design brief

bit.ly/clientmeetingY10

What do you like? - watching Iron Man films and eating chocolate (is this important for your design work?)

What do you not like? - the colour yellow and mushrooms (is this important for your design work?)
What are your favourite colours? - purple, green and blue
What theme are you interested in for the wall? - I would like you to combine the fact that food and graphics are taught in the building. The wall is opposite the creek so maybe using natural shapes and images could work too.
How big does the mural have to be? - it needs to fill most of the wall at the end of the T9 and T10 building
How much paint do we need for the mural? - I can’t answer that question. You will have to research that.
What activities go on in your classroom? - drawing, painting, making 3D models, 3D printing, laser cutting. Cooking, boiling, oven, rolling out, mixing, measuring, frying, baking.
Are there certain designs that you would prefer? - You could use all the pictures or you could combine some words too. Make the words clear and readable. Not sentences, just words.
What patterns would you like us to use? - cultural patterns would look good with natural images.
Do we have to have to school name or logo/emblem on the design? - you can if you like but you don’t have to.
