Kiwi Sport/ Rm9

IALT: write down about what we did in Kiwi Sport today and what we learnt from it.

Today for Kiwi Sport we were playing dough ball. The rules were different from the normal rules. The rules was that we have to get into two teams, then this is how it goes. If you get out you don't go and sit down you go to the team that got you out and play from that team. After we did our warm up game we went and get ready for shot put.

Today we didn't use the normal balls which it was the hard one, cause today our coach Allen told us to use the soft one and the light one.

What I like about today was when we were playing dough ball versing each others in our class. What I found from this game was that it all about team working together and trying to help out your friend next to you. 

The challenge I got today was trying to throw the shot put ball the right way but it keeps falling down so I end up throwing it to the other side of the field. My next steps is to make sure I try and throw it the right way and at the right time. So what i'm going to do is to practice because practice make perfect.

Blog about my test this week

This week we had to do our test about Maths,Reading and spelling. Throughout these test it was really hard, even some of them I didn't know the answer for it but the thing that I did was try and think about what to click before I click it and move on. What I enjoy during test time this week was when there was no noise and the reason why I like that is because it makes me concentrate on what I am doing.

 

What I found hard in this test was trying to answer the question that on our test. Something new I found today is that never give up on something hard or easy no matter what happens. My next step is to try and make sure I do better than how I did before this week.

Maths Time/Studyladder

IALT: write about what I learnt in Maths time.

Today for our Maths we were working on our studyladder. For studyladder I was working on my timetables. FIrst I did the hardest level then I went on the easy one. I ask my friend Vuni if he wants to verse me then he said yes and when we start I straight away had this feeling that I was gonna lose from him but I wo just by one point.

What I like about maths today was when I challenge myself to verse others even though I thought I was gonna lose. My next steps is to make sure I don't give up easily when you are versing someone else, easy or hard as long as you try testing them. The thing that I found hard was trying to answer the question.

Explanation Writing

WALA: how to show whanaungatanga in our community.

This week for writing we were talking about explanation writing and what does it mean to me. For me explanation writing it like when you explain something but in a writing form. This week we have to come up with a writing about 4 different types of titles. The one I chose was how to show whanaungatanga in our community.

The way to show whanaungatanga in our community is to show respect to other s and treats others the way you want them to treat you. First I came up with my own title and then I have to write a introduction about it. After that we have to write at least three paragraph about what our title is.

For me if you live in a place that full of whanaungatanga it will feel like heaven because everyone is encouraging other to do the right thing and everyone is building up positive relationship with other even though if you don't know then. Showing Whanaungatanga is something that important to me because it helps me show good relationship with others. But if you live in a place that full of disrespectful and people not doing the right thing. That place will look like the dump and you won't feel like leaving in it.

What I like about this work was when we have to come up with our own title because I straight away got my title in my mind then I think again if that a good title then I wrote it down. What I found hard was trying to write my introduction about how to show whanaungatanga in our community. My next step is to make sure I try my best to write more and more information about what we are learning about.

Food Tech

Today for technology we cooked Pin Wheel Pizza.The ingredion for it was, put out your chopping board, Paste the pastry with tomato paste. Then dice pepper, tomato, onion, salami and then spread it on top of the pastry. Top up with the cheese and roll into round. And then you bake it for 180`c for 15 minutes.

What I like about this was when we create the pizza because me and my buddy kiko's pizza was nearly burn. What I found hard was watching the Pizza but instead I went and talk to my mate about something else. My next steps is to make sure I don't get distracted by other things going around me.

MAths, timetables

Today for maths me and my buddy Tevita was doing our timetable, we have to verse each other and see who is good at doing their timetables. During that time it made me feel so happy because I finally get to verse someone that is good at their multiplication. Most of the questions I didn't answer because it was too hard. Tevita nearly got all of the answer's right in the first place.

What I learnt for the task is that keep going if is to hard for you to do. Even though is was to hard for me I still manage to get some of them right. What I found hard is try to answer the questions right as fast as I can under three seconds. I enjoying doing this and I also want to do it more and more.

Cooking

Today for technology we cooked potato salad with sausage.

Me and my friend Michael and we were working together making our food.

The recipes for the food was

3 potato

2 eggs

1 sausage

half red onion

What I learnt from this task is that is import to flow the rules and make sure that we cook it good. What I need to work on is cooking the food right.

What I found hard today was cutting the things out

Technology/Cooking

IALA: what we did for technology.In our class we cooked muffins and me and my friend Falakiko worked together on our muffins and we cook the same types of muffins. The recipes for the muffins are1 I/2 C.of S.R.flour1/2 c of sugar 1/2 C of milk1/3 C of oil 1 egg Topping Sit Tsp of brown sugar - 1 Tsp of cinnamon - 1 Tsp of Jam.What I like about our cooking is that we get to make a choice and they are eat it or take it to school. What I found hard about technology it was when we had to try and make the muffins because it is hard following the recipes. My next steps is to make sure that I do the recipes the way that it says.THANK YOU. 😎😎😎

Poem about the past

I am a young boy that comes from a village in Samoa named fusi safata.

I follow my ancestors footsteps all the way to the future. I look back to the past for memories, Relaxing on the burning sand, and trying to describe my ancestors,

I’m proud of who I am. A fierce Samoan.

I am proud of my parents that brought me into this world.

I am also proud of me being a singer and a drummer.

I got my name from my grandfather and I am proud of him teaching me  how to sing and how to play instruments like drum and bass.

When ever  I think of my culture I think of my family.

I think of my ancestors.

In Upolu, in my village

Thinking about future generations. Like me.

learning their ways.

My grandmother died at the age of 105, I still know that she is still with me even if I forget that she is here.
