Te Reo Assembly

Today we had Maori language week assembly. In assembly we learnt 3 new treo songs. the first song was Te Aroha and it means giving out love to everyone and the second song that we sang was Titelo mai nga iwi ( I don't know what it means). The last song that we sing was Matariki song and the Matariki song was created from one of the teacher that in our school. Most of the class's went up to the front to present what they have done for the Te Reo Maori.

What I like about assembly today was that everyone was showing self control. What I found hard today was when we have to learnt the new Maori songs. My next step is to make sure I also show self control to people around me and also trying my best to learn new things without giving up.
THANK..

Poem about the past

I am a young boy that comes from a village in Samoa named fusi safata.
I follow my ancestors footsteps all the way to the future. I look back to the past for memories, Relaxing on the burning sand, and trying to describe my ancestors,
I’m proud of who I am. A fierce Samoan.
I am proud of my parents that brought me into this world.
I am also proud of me being a singer and a drummer.
I got my name from my grandfather and I am proud of him teaching me  how to sing and how to play instruments like drum and bass.
When ever  I think of my culture I think of my family.
I think of my ancestors.
In Upolu, in my village
Thinking about future generations. Like me.
Their golden child
Walking with them ,
learning their ways.
My grandmother died at the age of 105, I still know that she is still with me even if I forget that she is here.

Tognan Week

Yesterday we celebrated Tognan language week. We had a assembly and we had lots of items. In assembly we were watching other class's performance and also the teacher's performance. When the teacher was doing their dance nearly all the kids went up and dances with them. After assembly we had a tognan food tasting. We started from room 1 to room 10, when the class's were finish than the parent came and had their lunches. Me and my friend matthew were doing the DJ and also helping out with the foods. when most of the people went that when we started to clean up the hall and pick up the rubbish outside the hall. By the time we finish me and Matthew were both hungry so we went at the back and ask Mariana if there is any more food around and she said, go check the oven if there any food in it. We found lu sipi and taro in the oven and she told us to eat it.

What I like about Yesterday was when we had our food tasting because I got to eat what I wanted to eat yesterday. What I found hard yesterday was helping the other doing the foods and because that just made me even more hungrier. My next steps is to make sure that I don't mess anything up anymore.
THANK YOU

About Maths

Today for maths we were working on our Fractions,Division and mutilation.
Today we were in our group and we work together to try and answer the question that on the broad. Ex, 3/9 of 45 and then after that we have to try and come up with a strategy that makes up the answer. What I like about maths to day is that we have to try and answer hard question. what I need to work on is to make sure I understand what the question means. My next steps is to make sure that I try my best and never give up if I got the answer wrong.
THANK YOU!!
